At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of their coordinated care system and right now they have an opening for a Clinical Coordinator to join their team on their Medical Surgical/PCU Unit.Are you a Registered Nurse with experience with inpatient care settings? Do you feel confident assisting the Nurse Manager with the unit organization and clinical management of patients? As a Clinical Coordinator your primary responsibility would be to Coordinates and supports the day-to-day activities of the unit in the care of patients utilizing best practice and ensuring adherence to regulations and policies. Per the hiring ideal candidate wouldhave a strong clinical background as they are essentially the resource on thefloor for all of the nursing staff.Primary responsibilities/expectations would include (but are not limited to) the as aclinical/staff RN, occasionally responsible for a small patient assignment of1-3 patients.Charge nurse dutiessuch as overseeing LPN, RN and LNA practice and delegating care as appropriate.Helps to coordinateemployee breaks, creates the nursing assignment and makes adjustments based onchanging acuity and/or discharges/admissions.Assists LPNs/RNs/LNAsas appropriate throughout the shift - assists with patient care, monitors forlab/diagnostic test results, follows up on referrals, consults with differentdepartments as needed (pharmacy, lab, radiology).Helps to provide thenurse manager with concerns regarding employee performance and handles in themoment conflicts as needed.Monitors charting fortimely/accurate documentation.Communicates withnursing team members and management within the hospital to coordinate day today activities of the unit (discharges, admissions, transfers).Acts as housesupervisor/main resource on off shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) keeping allunits/providers aware of bed availability, communicating with administrator oncall as needed.Communicates withother area hospitals regarding bed availability to facilitate patient transfersto and from VRH.VRH employees enjoy a low-cost comprehensive benefits program with highlights medical and dental plan optionsVision insuranceRetirement (403b) with matchHealthcare Reimbursement Account with employer contributionShort Term Disability / Life insurance covered by VRHRobust ETO accrual with an optional annual cash outOnsite wellness initiatives including reimbursementsEducational Reimbursements Submission requirements: By submitting your applicant to this need you are acknowledging that you have checked and have no inclination that your candidate has applied directly to this position.
