About The Position
**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse - Med Surg First Floor **Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Day (7a-7p) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Less than 1 year. Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours required; direct patient care experience preferred. **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required **Must-Have:** Associate's Degree in Nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. **Job Description:** - Proactive member of an interdisciplinary team ensuring individuals receive high-quality, safe patient care. - Perform the Nursing Process using evidence-based practice, analytical, and critical thinking skills. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to population-specific characteristics. - Partner with patients and significant others to focus on patient goals in the plan of care. - Utilize current clinical practice standards to coordinate safe, quality patient care. - Collaborate and communicate effectively in a diverse, interdisciplinary environment. - Engage in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities. - Complete professional competency assessments and mandatory education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor to develop a qualified future workforce. - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and uphold standards and requirements. - Plan patient care proactively and participate in protocol development for best outcomes. - Support efficient use of resources and perform additional duties as assigned. - Comply with all organizational policies, standards, and code of conduct. - Possess strong interpersonal, time management, and critical thinking skills. - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, responding to emergencies decisively and respectfully.
