About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical - Trauma **Job Duration:** 13 weeks (option for 26 weeks contract available) **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Yes **Experience:** 2 years of experience required **License:** Valid state license required at time of submission; pending license accepted **Certifications:** BCLS required **Must-Have:** - Med/Surg experience - Blood Product Administration - Peripheral Line Care/Management - Phlebotomy - Starting IVs - Insulin Management - Experience with PCA, Spinal Cord Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injury, Ortho Trauma, Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters, Total Joint Replacements - Experience with Surgical Drains, Chest Tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Knowledge of Isolation Precautions and Wound Care/Wound Vac - Level 1 Trauma Experience **Job Description:** - Weekend Only Schedule - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Ratios: 1:4-5 - Weekend required: Every other weekend - On-call not required - Clinicians may float within scope to meet facility needs - Not open to accommodating block schedule - Responsibilities include care of patients from ED, OR, or ICU, and dealing with diagnoses like geriatric trauma, abuse/violence victims, MVA, MVC, falls, acute care surgery - Use of special equipment such as lifts, restraints, wound vacs, traction, external fixators - Facility highlights include being a Magnet & Teaching Hospital and a Level I Trauma Center - Requires experience with EPIC charting system - Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only - Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract - Compliance with tardiness and call-in policies to avoid contract cancellation - Fit testing requires proper facial hair grooming for travelers Please ensure all submitted profiles have aligned experience and completed skills checklist to match the job requirements.
