Med/Surg RN Compensation

• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Med/Surg RN Highlights

• ·Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• 3 days a week
• Must reside 50-75 miles from location

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Assessment Skills: Conduct thorough, systematic assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric) to deliver appropriate patient care.
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent direct patient care, supporting the nursing team and utilizing emergency equipment and procedures effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, adhering to guidelines and responsibilities.
• Professionalism: Uphold professional standards, understand policies, and identify areas for growth in clinical practice.
• Patient Satisfaction: Interact courteously and professionally with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a patient-centered environment while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol, and apply safe transfer techniques and body mechanics.
• Unit-Specific Knowledge: Understand conditions, diagnoses, and equipment related to surgical patients; tailor care based on procedures and anesthesia.
• Responsibility and Accountability: Direct patient care prioritizing needs and responding to condition changes within the perioperative team.
• Patient Education: Assess patient and family understanding of surgical procedures, and provide pre-operative and post-operative education.
• PAT RN Duties: Support timely completion of pre-admission testing and evaluate orders for appropriateness based on patient health.

Med/Surg RN Requirements

• 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS certification (Required)
• RN License (Required) Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree
