Duties Description The Bureau of Business Intelligence is adding two MIS 1- SG 18/Trainee 1/Trainee 2 (NY HELPS) positions in a new unit, Advanced Analytics. Each MIS 1/Trainee will be primarily responsible for implementing new technologies, or using existing technologies in innovative ways, with the goal of improving or developing new audits, investigations, claim edits, or other OMIG Program Integrity efforts. The position will also support unit efforts in liaising with various internal and external groups to improve OMIG's PI oversite. The position may be required to assist other members of the unit in projects seeking to develop stronger collaboration with other OMIG divisions, other NYS agencies, or other state Medicaid agencies. The employee will also be responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of any and all data requests submitted to BBI.Proficiency with MS Access, SharePoint, and Power Apps. Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization software, experience implementing new software, experience identifying potential billing schemes in MDW or medical claims data both independently and in collaboration with auditors/investigators is preferred but not required.
