We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Part -time Medical Assistant Endoscopy Technician at our Gastro Care of Long Island Massapequa NY.
The Medical Assistant Endoscopy Technician Under the direction of the Practice Administrator/ Senior Endo technician, and working with assigned Physicians;
The Medical Assistant Endoscopy Technician must have the following qualifications and experience:
*Full days three days a week

Part-Time
We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Part -time Medical Assistant Endoscopy Technician at our Gastro Care of Long Island Massapequa NY.
The Medical Assistant Endoscopy Technician Under the direction of the Practice Administrator/ Senior Endo technician, and working with assigned Physicians;
- Assisting With GI Procedures( Coloscopy, Upper Endoscopy, Flex sigs) under direct supervision of the physician, in the removal of polyps and obtaining biopsies
- Labeling specimens and placing electronic orders to lab
- Cleaning and reprocessing of endoscopes and assisting in setting up and breaking down of procedure room and exam rooms
- Performs and documents daily controls for Point of care testing and maintenance of equipment as required
- Checks and completes required maintenance logs and equipment logs including refrigerator logs, MSD sheets and performs safety checks to verify proper equipment functioning
- Maintains procedure room and exam rooms by assuring the rooms are clean, well equipped and supplies are at par level
- Post Op call backs
- Documenting patient information and vitals in EMR for physicians review
- Ensures that labs/test results and diagnostic imaging results have been received into the EMR for physicians review during visit
The Medical Assistant Endoscopy Technician must have the following qualifications and experience:
- High School Diploma,
- Licensing/Registration/Certification Required: Certification: Medical Assistant
- One year of endoscopy/procedure experience preferred
