Medical Assistant Apprentice - University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct and indirect patient care activities and performs clerical duties under direct supervision of the licensed nurse. Supports and maintains the University Health’s policies, protocols, values and guest relations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED is required. Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school or certification from an approved credentialing body for medical assistants is required. Must have current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Card.

LICENSURE
Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
