Medical Assistant opening in Dedham, MA.

This is a temporary to permanent position in pediatrics in an outpatient clinic.

Schedule: 32 hours a week, Mon, Tues, Thurs (8.30am-5pm) and Fri (9am-5.30pm)

Responsibilities:

• Take vital signss, measuring vital signs can be tricky on a wiggling infant or a scared toddler, but it is an important part of assessing how well they are doing.

• Take measurements.

• Measure height, weight, and head size of babies and toddlers.

• Assist with assessments. Since children can sometimes have a hard time following instructions, the pediatrician might need a little extra help finishing their assessment on their patient.

• Help position or distract a child during an examination.

• Comfort children and help them feel comfortable and safe while they are in the office.

Requirements:

• A certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program/school (preferred)

• Covid vaccination (two doses)

• Recent experience
