About the Unit
At Lakeland Ear, Nose and Throat, we want to make sure you receive great care. Our care team offers the highest quality ear, nose, throat, and audiology care - whether medical or surgical. We practice a full range of otolaryngology, including medical and surgical management of disorders of the ears, nose, throat, voice, neck, thyroid and parathyroid glands, salivary glands, face, and scalp, - in both children and adults. Our team specializes in cochlear implants and can dispense, fit, and service hearing aids.
About Corewell Health South
The health system comprises three hospitals, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and 34 affiliate physician practice locations. We provide both inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout Southwest Michigan.
Scope of work
Provides clinical support to health care professionals to ensure the delivery of quality health care services.Facilitates efficient and effective patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit/admission, and providing specific services and education as determined by the providers in accordance with licensure and policy.Performs necessary administrative duties that assure all information is current and updated. Includes maintenance and monitoring of electronic health record in basket.Maintains and cleans environment, work area, equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department/unit personnel.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a competency based orientation program Required
- 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA National Healthcareer Association 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT National Center for Competency Testing 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP National Association for Health Professionals 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT American Medical Technologists 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
