Our client is a network of clinics in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire providing medical, dental, mental health, and substance use services is looking for a Contract Floater Medical Assistant offering $24.50 per hour to support their 20 locations in the Los Angeles area.

Clinic Hours:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Either an 8:30am-5:00pm or 11:00am-7:30pm

Wednesday and Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Saturdays: Every Saturday, except when covering a clinic Monday thru Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with various healthcare services following established policies and protocols including but not limited to obtaining specimens, conducting routine lab studies, and assisting with administrative functions.
- Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes.
- Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by a physician. Assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Provider by performing the following duties.
- Must be able to travel to different clinic locations requested by the Director of Operation or Clinic Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel to different clinic locations which are located in a 20 mile radius around Los Angeles
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep a positive and friendly attitude
- You enjoy working with a diverse population and providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong charting/documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proof of COVID-19 updated vaccination within the last 12 months
- CPR certification
- MMR Vaccines (two vaccines/titers), Immunization Records, or Waiver
- TDAP within 10 years or Waiver
- Flu Shot within 1 year or Waiver
- Hepatitis B Series (three vaccines/titers) or Immunization Records
Preferred Qualification Skills
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- EHR- Electronic Health Record
- PMS- Practice Management System
