Medical Assistant Needed for Geriatric clients at a Managed Long Term Care Organization.

JOB LOCATION: Flushing, Queens - New York

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay Range: $24-25/hr

JOB PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the Medical Practice Manager, this position performs routine medical assistant functions as well as other required tasks. Under the supervision of the DTC Clinical staff Medical Assistant will perform venipuncture and finger blood, including drawing, capping, and labeling of blood specimens, as well as performing EKGs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Medical technician training. Vision screening training.
• At least 1 year of recent venipuncture experience, preferably with the elderly population. Must be computer literate.
• Medical Assistant Certification (must be certified Phlebotomist); EKG.
