Medical Assistant
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a highly energetic professional with a passion for patient care and engagement. As a key member of the team, the ideal candidate is outgoing, communicative, and flexible. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the blood plasma center. You will support doctors, nurses, and phlebotomists throughout the plasma donation life cycle with patients.
This is a versatile position, where every day is a bit different. It is an extremely fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be handling a variety of responsibilities, including, but not limited to
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Assist the medical team with different aspects of patient care
- Check in patients and ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction
- Assist during medical examinations, where applicable and appropriate
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Stock and ensure supplies are setup and available for treatment

This role is primarily outreach and sales. Candidates must be comfortable emailing, calling, texting, and/or engaging with patients.
Your Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant or medical admin
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree in medical assistance, preferred
