Full-Time: Medical Assistant
Gastroenterology East, P.A. & Endoscopy Center is located within the Medical District of Greenville, NC. We are a professional, expeditious, patient-centric Practice and Ambulatory Surgery Center eager to serve Eastern North Carolina and surrounding areas!
Job Summary: The Medical Assistant is responsible for greeting patients and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing patient questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment. This person also performs ad hoc administrative duties as needed.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc.
- Managing patient flow to/from procedure room(s), and assists with patient positioning for procedures
- Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiency, while providing services that exceed customer expectations, and improving clinical and financial operations
- Assists with patient care within the MA scope of practice
- Pulls case materials and stages in appropriate areas
- Understands principles of aseptic sterile technique and their implementation
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Ability to adapt to change quickly

- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.
- BLS certification required
- One Year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
