One of the Largest Multi-Specialty Physician Practices located in New York, NY has an immediate need for a Medical Assistant to work in Internal Medicine
Type: Contract
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours a week not inclusive of their breaks
Location : Harlem
Responsibilities:
Working in Family Medicine department
Specimen accession, collection and preparation for pick-up by reference lab.
Quality Control & Quality Assurance procedures.
Interaction with subscribers, reference laboratory personnel, SIPP physicians & staff as well as other job related duties.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Must have a minimum of 1 year of previous Medical Assistant experience.
Must be certified as a Medical Assistant
Experience in Pediatrics, Infusion, Chemo or Oncology but not required.
Knowledge of venipuncture, laboratory equipment, venipuncture techniques, performing venipuncture
Experience working with Adults and Geriatrics is preferred
