Orthopaedic Hand Medical Assistant/LPN
Become an integral component of a busy surgical practice with the opportunity to grow and expand your role! The Medical Assistant will work directly with an Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon and a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in hand and will become a key member of the “hand team” to help coordinate and provide individualized care to our patients. This includes assisting in office-based surgeries, placing patients in casts and splints, educating patients on medical conditions and helping to coordinate their care before and after surgery. Opportunities to expand their role include additional education in hand surgery and assistance in creating patient literature to aid our patients in all stages of their recovery. Dedicated clinical and administrative time will be provided.
Requirements: Successful graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or equivalent work experience required. Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred. Certified ;Medical Assistant CMA certification preferred.
