Medical Assistant (MA) at Mitchell Martin

A Well Known Hospital located in Flushing, NY has an immediate need for a Medical Assistant

Type: Contract
Schedule: 9:00am - 5:00pm (includes a 60min break)
Location: Flushing, NY

Requirements:
NY State Certified Medical Assistant
Medical assistant duties - phlebotomy, (Ortho skills a bonus) Spanish speaking preferred.
High school diploma plus completion of an accredited program as a Medical Assistant
Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
NHA Certification preferred not required
At least 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant; experienced with phlebotomy
OB GYN experience preferred
Knowledge of venipuncture, laboratory equipment, venipuncture techniques, performing venipuncture
Medical Assistant Certification required.
12 lead EKG, Phlebotomist, POCT, Chaperone, Screening, Vitals, Communication and Customer Service experience.
Spanish speaking required (due to 80% patient population being hispanic).
