Locations to consider: * Shorewood Health Clinic in Shorewood, WI from
July to December. Moving to NEW location - Lafayette Clinic in East
Milwaukee, WI opening in January 2025. * Moorland Health Center in New
Berlin, WI * Town Hall Health Center in Menomonee Falls, WI *
Springdale Health Center in Brookfield, WI * Port Washington Health
Center in Port Washington, WI * Mequon Health Center in Mequon, WI
Position Summary: A Medical Assistant/LPN is a healthcare professional
and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This
individual is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming
responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and
other duties as assigned. The Medical Assistant/LPN is instrumental in
helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider
throughout the patient's visit. The Medical Assistant/LPN may be
required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic
operations. Other duties as assigned. Medical Assistant Qualifications:
* One to two years of clinical experience is preferred. * High school
diploma or equivalent required. * American Heart Association (AHA)
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved
equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. * In addition,
individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations of education
and experience * A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical
Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate). Additional
certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or
certification is preferred. * A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES
Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma, or Certificate) or
Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education, one (1) year
of formal on the job Medical Assistant experience preferred. *
Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the
following credentials * Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) AAMA *
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) AMT * Assessment Based Recognition
in Order Entry (ABR-OE) * Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
-NHA LPN Qualifications: * One to two years of related clinical
experience is preferred. * Graduate of an accredited School of
Practical Nursing is required. * Current LPN licensure by the state of
Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing required. * American
Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider
(BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
