This position is a non-patient facing, administrative role.
This position will support the Internal Medicine Resident program- and will assistthe 9 Resident'srotating through the practice. Residents carry their own panel of patients and cross cover for each other, so it's like working for a separate smaller practice! We welcome your application for this unique opportunity!
- Position Summary
- The Medical Assistant (MA) is assigned duties and responsibilities related to administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant I functions under the license of a provider when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
- License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required. An NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
