Medical Assistant / Medical Scribe
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, positive Medical Assistant with Scribe experience to join our team. The candidate is a vital member of our clinical team who not only assists physicians with exams but also operates their EMR system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares medical record documentation/charts for physician(s).
- Enters the patient room with the physician during patient visits to assist and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications.
- Assist physician as needed with procedures and exams
- Assist with rooming the patients and make sure the exam rooms are well supplied and clean.
- Updates patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient' chart.
- Prepares all documentation for physicians to review and approve.
- Review lab results and screening tests results.
- Complies medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA.
- Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
Additional Job Responsibilities may include:
- Send prescriptions
- Return patient calls
- Write orders for labs, surgeries, and imaging as needed
- Work with other office departments as needed

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Medical Assisting certification
- Bachelor’s degree with nursing career track preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy a plus
- Skilled in operating various medical record software
- A minimum of 60 WPM preferred
