Medical Assistant - Peregrine Team

Peregrine Team is looking for a back office Medical Assistant to join a Diabetes Center for a large medical group in Newport, CA

$24-28/hr

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care (15-20 patients per day)
• Submitting preauthorizations for medication
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare provider
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
• Provide basic patient education on procedures, medications, and self-care
• Schedule appointments and manage patient records

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certification
• Phlebotomy Certification
• 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant
• Current BLS Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
