The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Primary Care Clinicin Smithvilleisseeking an experienced MedialAssistant(MA)to be an integral part of ourteam that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community.This is a great opportunity for an experiencedor entry levelCertified Medical Assistant(CMA), an experienced or entry levelMedical Assistantor even someone interested in becoming a medical assistant and providing patient care. Those candidates that are not certified or that do not have applicable experience willreceive 10weeksof on the job training to learn the position. This positionis responsible forassistingproviders in the evaluation, management,and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice.
The Work:
Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service,establishingrapport withpatientsandmaintaininga professional demeanor.
Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals
Phlebotomy
Administer injections and coordinate vaccines
Assistproviders with procedures
Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents
Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)
Cover front office responsibilities as needed
