Certified Medical Assistant -Phlebotomy GI

MUST:
Experienced Certified Medical Assistant with strong Phlebotomy skills or Certified Phlebotomist with strong phlebotomy and MA skills
6+years of experience working as a medical assistant and phlebotomist in a private practice setting
Experience working in a high volume setting
Performing venipuncture
Experience rooming patients and obtaining vitals
Assisting with exams and procedures
Reviewing procedures with patients and preps prior to procedures
Returning patients phone calls and triage phone calls
Experience processing prescriptions
Obtaining pre-authorizations
Must have strong experience documenting information in EMR
DUTIES:
The duties of the certified medical assistant/certified phlebotomist include but are not limited to the following:
Room patients
Obtain vitals
Draw Blood
Assist with exams and procedures
Triage phone calls
Return patient calls
Post procedures to hospitals
Review procedures and preps with candidates
Process prescriptions and refills
Document information in EMR
Provide office support as needed
