Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is looking for a back office Medical Assistant with blood draw experience, interested in joining a recognized healthcare facility, located in and around the San Antonio area.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in an outpatient setting. Under general supervision, you will assist with patient care, clinical and lab procedures, and documentation. Blood draw experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient intake, including vital signs, weight, and history documentation.
Assist with lab procedures such as blood draws and preparing charts for patient appointments.
Administer medications as per provider orders and document in EMR.
Triage calls and medication refills, ensuring patient needs are met in a timely manner.
Maintain equipment and manage patient appointments according to clinic protocols.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; completion of a Medical Assistant program.
3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with blood draw experience.
CPR certification required; CMA certification preferred.
Proficiency in EMR systems (EPIC experience is a plus).
