Job Description: The firm is seeking an experienced Medical Attorney to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare law or medical malpractice defense, with a strong understanding of medical and legal issues that affect healthcare providers. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney passionate about healthcare law and dedicated to providing high-quality legal representation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical organizations in medical malpractice defense and healthcare litigation.
- Advise clients on healthcare compliance, licensing, and regulatory matters, including HIPAA, state, and federal healthcare laws.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with medical experts to prepare cases for trial or settlement.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate for clients.
- Provide proactive legal counsel on risk management and compliance strategies.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school in Alabama.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare law, medical malpractice defense, or related legal practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of medical and healthcare laws and regulations.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and work well within a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with medical experts.
