We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Biller with a background in dermatology to join our administrative team and support our growing practice.
Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to manage billing operations within our dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, insurance claim processes, and dermatology-specific coding. Proficiency in using Word systems such as Excel and Word is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and verify patient billing information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize dermatology-specific coding knowledge to ensure correct billing.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, making necessary corrections and resubmitting.
- Maintain patient billing records and ensure confidentiality.
- Generate and review financial reports, including accounts receivable and aging reports.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues.
- Use Excel, Word, and other software to manage and report billing data.
- Stay updated with changes in billing regulations and insurance policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in medical billing, specifically in dermatology.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and insurance claim processes.
- Experience with dermatology-specific coding (CPT, ICD-10).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and adherence to patient confidentiality standards.
