Pacific Audiology Clinic is seeking a Medical Biller to join our billing department team.
Our exceptional, well-established Audiology Practice is seeking a full-time Medical Biller to join our team. Candidates need to be highly motivated, able to work independently, possess strong critical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. They must be willing to work in a fast-paced setting with a can-do attitude and be a team player. Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing superior patient care in a friendly, upbeat office while having fun! Reliable transportation mandatory as we rotate between our two Portland locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Claims submission; both electronic claims submission and manual
- Contact insurance companies regarding denied claims
- Contact insurance companies and patients with questions related to billing
- Answer billing inquiries from patients, staff and insurance companies and resolve complaints
- Send appeals to insurance companies with appropriate documentation
- Accounts receivable aging review
- Manage assigned workflows to include follow up on status of claims, denials and appeals to ensure timely receipt of payment
- Eligibility & Benefit Check
- Other duties as assigned
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes
- Familiar with Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance carrier rules
- Minimum of 1 year of Billing and Accounts Receivable experience
Skills Required:
- Ability to type 40+ words-per-minute
- Friendly disposition and excellent communication skills
- Must be capable of working independently and as part of the team
- Ability to follow directions and systems, and maintain close attention to detail
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills

Pay is $22-$24 hourly to start depending on experience
