Medical Biller at Sparks Group

We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Biller to join our team. This role will involve a hybrid work schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes, particularly within the Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance sectors. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with staff to generate accurate invoices for services rendered.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Electronic Medical Record  system and its impact on accounts receivable.
• Post payments, review accounts receivable, and follow up on past due invoices.
• Conduct regular reviews of charges to ensure accuracy.
• Utilize the Electronic Medical Record system efficiently for various tasks, including charge posting and movement to clearing houses.
• Assist with collections and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Medicare, commercial billing, and collections.
• Strong understanding and ability to communicate payer contract language.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payer requirements.
• Proficiency with medical billing systems and clearing houses, with hospice and Medicare experience a plus.
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and telecommunication tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Dependable and self-reliant nature.
• Proven ability to maintain composure in a sometimes stressful environment.
• Physical ability to retrieve and file records.

Pay Range: Hourly $23.00 to $25.00
