Medical Billing Manager - Burnett Specialists

Medical company is looking for a Medical Billing Manager.

Primary duties:

• Supervise, train, and evaluate billing staff performance
• Establish productivity standards and quality metrics
• Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing education
• Implement process improvements and best practices
• Mentor and develop team members' skills
• Create and maintain billing department policies and procedures
• Monitor and analyze accounts receivable performance
• Set and achieve collection goals
• Oversee claim submission and denial management processes
• Implement strategies to reduce aging accounts
• Review and approve appeals for complex denied claims
• Ensure timely filing requirements are met
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations and coding guidelines
• Stay current with insurance policy changes and updates
• Maintain documentation standards
• Conduct internal audits
• Implement and monitor quality control measures
• Ensure HIPAA compliance
• Prepare or review monthly financial reports and analysis
• Monitor and report on department performance metrics
• Identify revenue improvement opportunities
• Develop and manage department budget
• Track and analyze billing trends

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of medical billing experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
• Experience with medical billing software and EMR systems
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
• Medical Billing Certification (CMRB, CRCP, or similar)
• Background in revenue cycle consulting or training

Salary range is 55K to 60K to start
