About the Job
Seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller / Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement as well as multiple front office tasks.
Monday – Friday
$16p/hr - $24p/hr DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding to accurately bill claims
- Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and regulations
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing issues
- Assisting in daily office administration tasks
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proficiency in medical billing software systems preferred but not required
- Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of medical collection procedures preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance
- Ability to simultaneously use the telephone and computer
- Familiarity with basic office equipment (ie. Computers, telephones, copiers, etc)
