Medical Billing Specialist at TEKsystems

Description:

Will spend the entire day in bad debt review. Will look at statement totals, ensure the address matches what they have in records, that insurance is billed properly, look through reviews (ex. if there was a coding error that needed to be reviewed), if phone calls were made to the patient within 30 days. Current team does about100 reviews/day, would like to see that increase to closer to 200 for the contractors because they won't have other work to do.
