About the Job
This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Shifts will be scheduled 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Applicants hired into this position can work from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.

We are seeking a Medical Coding Specialist II - HCC Coder to:
- Review medical record documentation and code encounters.
- Work closely with the Outpatient Clinical Documentation team to improve capture of Hierarchical Condition Categories.
- Experience with Epic software.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required and
- Medical Coding Education Required
- Associate's Degree in a healthcare related field Preferred
Work Experience
- 2 years progressive coding experience in multiple specialties, HCC Risk adjustment Coding Required
Licenses & Certifications
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist- Outpatient or Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient (CDEO) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), or a Certified Coding Associate (CCA) required Required
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Preferred
