Medical Director Geriatric & Palliative Care | Macomb Hospital - Henry Ford Health

Reports to the Division Chief of Medicine and is responsible for strategic and operational leadership of Geriatric and Palliative Care Medicine programs. Participates with planning and implementing operation decisions, policies, and procedures relative to geriatric and palliative care medicine. Oversees quality improvement activities and reports results on a routine basis to appropriate medical quality improvement programs. Participates with leadership in the management, planning and implementation of programs to enhance services. Actively works with hospital to ensure patient flow and access, monitoring and controlling cost, in utilization of services. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• MD or DO
• Medical Staff membership in good standing at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital (HFMH) or attainment of membership following job initiation.
• One (1) year of leadership experience in geriatrics or palliative care.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Michigan medical and DEA licensure.
• Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine.
• Board Certification in Palliative Care Medicine preferred
