New Bedford Community Health (NBCH) is seeking a passionate Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) with a focus on Infectious Disease to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and multidisciplinary Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). You'll have the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care with a special emphasis on treating patients with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and latent TB, while working alongside a dedicated team of nurses, community health workers (CHWs), and Ryan White program administrators.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate outpatient primary care focused on HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and Tuberculosis prevention and treatment.
- Offer continuity of care including well visits, sick visits, hospital follow-ups, immunizations, and education on sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- Interpret diagnostic tests and labs, manage complex medical conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure patient care needs are met and foster strong communication across the department.
Required Education & Credentials:
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in primary care.
- Current and unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License.
- Active DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
- Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- AAHIVM Certification (must be obtained within 18 months of hire).
- BLS/CPR Certification.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience or interest in diagnosing and treating HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, latent TB, and other infectious diseases.
- Comfort supporting the LGBTQIA+ population and individuals with substance use disorders (experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment preferred).
- Commitment to working with multicultural and underserved populations.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- Primary or secondary language skills in Portuguese or Spanish (preferred but not required).
