Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining warehouse in neat orderly fashion, shipping and receiving of inventory and loading and unloading equipment as necessary. Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance of DME equipment.

• Appropriately clean and disinfect equipment as required, utilizing the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Assemble or prepare equipment for delivery, pulling, assembling and inspecting equipment and supplies from the warehouse as prescribed on patient/client delivery tickets
• Assist DME Delivery Technicians in loading delivery vehicles as needed, keeping proper order, process and stability in mind
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory and consistent stocking of appropriate equipment and supplies
• Assist with maintaining appropriate storage of clean and dirty equipment
• Choose the most cost effective shipping
• Follow company's bagging and tagging procedure
• Maximize the use of warehouse space and maintain the warehouse area in a neat and orderly fashion
• New equipment needs to be unpacked, noted for inventory and stocked quickly
• Notify purchasing of damage or shortage immediately and follow up
• Organize warehouse inventory so products can be located immediately
• Place all items received for stock into their appropriate locations on a daily basis and perform accurate physical inventory as required by the company, including input into the computer inventory record
• Possess skill in efficient preparation of products for shipping on a daily basis
• Prepare new equipment set-up packets
• Return "dirty" equipment keeping it isolated until cleaned while avoiding cross traffic through clean area
• Thorough documentation on all rental equipment, including Service Date, Repair detail, Serial numbers and cleaning dates
• Verify complete shipments to customers
• Verify equipment sale/rent to be in good working order before delivery
• Performs other duties as assigned

Employment is contingent on

• Background investigation (company-wide)
• Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Required Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, required

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• One year of related work experience, preferred

• Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
• Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
• Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
• Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
• Multi-task along with attention to detail
• Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
• Work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry office equipment up to 30lbs
• Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
• Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
