Position Summary: Under the leadership of the Medical Imaging Director, the Imaging Secretary provides administrative and secretarial support and services that are consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy, and direction of the Imaging Department and CRHS. The Imaging Secretary performs a variety of reception and clerical support duties relating to the operation of the imaging department and assists the imaging staff in the delivery of care as directed. Basic Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or a GED state certification with an emphasis in Office Occupations and Administrative Skills. Requires up to three months of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. - Licensure, Registrations & Certifications:
None Essential Job Responsibilities: - Screens departmental telephone calls and notifies the appropriate staff accordingly. Also provides assistance to patients or providers to schedule radiologic exams.
- Must be able to enter imaging orders and manage workflow relating to imaging procedures.
- Provides a high level of customer service to patients coming into the department.
- Must be able to make sound independent judgments in the absence of supervision with multi-task capabilities and have professionalism to work with radiologists, physicians, physician’s offices and interdepartmental staff.
- Prints computer reports as needed for smooth unit function and patient care.
- Classifies, sorts, and files correspondences, articles, records, and other documents.
- Gathers unit records and prepares, completes, and/or processes departmental reports, records, billings, etc.
- Completes manual and computerized requisitions as necessary.
- Participates in performance improvement studies and integrates performance improvement standards into work-related activities.
- Attends professional development programs and in-service training and meets the minimum requirement for continuing professional education.
- Assists the imaging staff in providing basic care to patients as needed.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.

- Actively participates as a member of the healthcare team by attending all mandated in-services, as well as departmental staff meetings as determined by the departmental Director
