About the Job
The San Mateo Medical Center is seeking a qualified Medical Interpreter/Translator - English and Spanish Required. Under general supervision, the Medical Interpreter/Translator will provide interpretation and translation services and coordination of those services to clients with limited English-speaking skills who are seeking health care or who are visitors at San Mateo Medical Center.

- Successfully completed a 40-hour medical interpreter training or a college course in medical interpretation and/or: already been certified by National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters & California Interpreters OR California Healthcare Interpreting Association.
- At least six months of experience providing medical interpretation in Spanish.
- At least one year of experience working in an acute care hospital or medical (health care) setting with a culturally diverse population providing interpretation/translation services
