Responsibilities
Under general supervision and medical direction, performs waived and moderately complex laboratory tests as defined by State and Federal Regulations. Performs clinical laboratory test procedures in a manner that provides accurate, timely, and meaningful results.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
+ Must have one of the following:
+ AA degree or an equivalent or higher degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, including a minimum of 36 semester units of physical or biological science from an accredited college or university.
+ Completion of 60 semester (90 quarter) units from an accredited college or university with 36 semester units in physical or biological science.
+ Graduation from a medical laboratory technician training program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science or other recognized accrediting program approved by the department.
+ Continuing education requirements must be maintained
+ One year of experience as a Lab Assistant or Technician in a clinical laboratory is preferred
License and Certs:
+ Current CA license as a Medical Laboratory Technician
Pay Range
$47.19 - $54.70 /hour
