Job Description: Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocoland procedures. Acts as a resource for Lab Assistants. Supports and assists Medical Technologists and Lead MedicalTechnologists as required. Requires minimal to moderate supervision, (task dependent). General Supervisor must be on site.
Qualifications
Education: MLT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as Medical Laboratory Technician.
Technical Skills: General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities
License/Certification:
Nevada State Licensure as Medical Laboratory Technician; ASCP or equivalent board registration upon hire preffered.New graduates, or applicants that do not currently have a Nevada license, must obtain a Nevada State Provisional license prior to hire and must obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license.
Other:
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient
care appropriately (specific age competent). Must possess appropriate people skills,
organization and attention to detail. Must desire to act as a resource.
