Job Description:
Main Duty: Providing customer service and assisting patients over the phone and face to face. Verifying insurance and doing administrative duties.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage a variety of high-volume incoming and outgoing calls at the Front Desk regarding new and/or existing members medical equipment or supply needs.
- Verify and answer insurance coverage questions regarding products they are eligible for and what costs will look like.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Speaks with caregivers, doctors, insurance companies, and other outside providers regarding member account and product needs.
- Documentation creation and follow up to ensure necessary documentation on file.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of customer service experience.
- Healthcare/medical office administration experience providing customer service is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills. Ability to learn company software and applications
- Strong data entry skills. 35 WPM
- Empathy, Compassion, Positivity, Reliable transportation
Hours/Schedule:
Hours are from 8:30am to 5pm. Monday through Friday. There will be very limited OT and no weekends. Friday, 4:30pm close
