Excellent customer service, organizational and phone skills

Ability to handle busy front desk for multiple physicians

Prior knowledge of medical reception, Medicare, and all types of insurance

Electronic Patient Scheduling and Electronic Health Record/Electronic Medical Record system experience helpful

Must be flexible, have strong work ethics, and be a team player

Must have good computer and typing skills

Must have ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education or equivalent.

3-5 years’ experience in the medical field.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Skill in maintaining records. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid and unrestricted TN Drivers License and Proof of current automotive insurance

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand or walk for 8 to 10 hours a day

Requires regular walking, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting and lifting

Must be able to lift at least 10-15 lbs

Ability to delineate between numeric numbers

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office environment-limited exposure to communicable diseases.

No exposure to blood-borne pathogens or contaminated body fluids
