Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Glendale, CA. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Spanish and have prior experience in a healthcare setting. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive excellent customer service and support.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Answer and manage incoming calls, providing information and assistance as needed.
Verify and update patient information, including insurance details.
Handle patient inquiries and provide appropriate guidance.
Process patient check-out, including collecting payments and scheduling follow-up appointments.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager or medical staff.
Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish (required)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus.
