Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Department: Family Practice
Reports to: Office Supervisor
Job Summary: We are seeking a full -time Medical Receptionist for our Family Practice office in Wesley Chapel. Candidate must have 1 year experience working in a medical field.
bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical office desired.

Keys to Success in this Role:
- Update patient demographics
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Prepare referrals and authorizations for Managed Care patients
- Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit
- Perform incidental duties as needed
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
- Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous customer service experience required
- Experience in a medical setting is preferred
Occupational Exposure:
- Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Strong team player
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Previous Customer Service experience
- 1 year of related experience required
