Part-Time: 4 hours/day, 4 days/week (flexible schedule) The Records Specialist (RS) reports to the Research Lab Operations Manager for the Laboratory for Affective and Translational Neuroscience at McLean Hospital. The RS will digitize the source data of closed research studies as part of a wider effort to store all data online and dispose of old hardcopy archives. The RS must be detailed-oriented and well organized. They must be able to navigate study-specific tools to ensure are records are stored correctly. The records may include personal health information so the RS must adhere to protocols for handling and storage of these confidential data.
salary: $22 - $24 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 6 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
+ Assemble and organize hardcopy research records.
+ Conduct quality checks before and after records are digitized, and remediation methods.
+ Maintain audit trails documenting the actions and observations at all steps of the procedure
+ Ensure that personal health information is not mingled with anonymous research data.
+ Use LabArchives, a 3rd party Electronic Laboratory Notebook application, to register and store digitized records. (Training on this tool will be provided.)
