Medical Records Technician II
Salary Rate: $14.50
Location: Houston, TX
Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Employment Type: Temporary
We are looking for a skilled Medical Records Technician who will ensure physical documentation is accounted for according to Medicaid/Medicare and organizational guidelines to facilitate payment for services.
What you will be doing:
Job Duties/Responsibilities/Functions (including but not limited to)
- Locates and retrieves records to accurately audit and verify patient information.
- Updates client charts with information in a timely manner.
- Audits charts, records, and record documentation deficiencies for attending physicians to correct.
- Track location of charts using appropriate software.
- Respond to information requests either in person or by telephone in a timely manner.
- As requested, locate and make ready charts or information from charts in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What is Required:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Basic office software
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One year of experience
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
