About the Job
Position Overview
This person assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting this includes both clinical and front desk duties. Will shadow the provider and transcribe, document into the patient EMR appropriately and accordingly.This position will also be acting as a scribe for a family medicine provider. This will include shadowing the provider and documenting appropriately in the patient's chart.
Location and Hours of Position
This position is located at New Castle Primary Care; 1112 South Mill St., New Castle, PA 16101
The general office hours for this position are 7:30 AM-5:00 PM (with some evening hours required).
NO WEEKENDS
Education/Experience Requirement
Graduate of an approved school Medical Office Assistant and/or two years' experience in a clinical setting.
Compensation
Position starts at $17.00 per hour, however, PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school Medical Office Assistant and/or two years' experience in a clinical setting
- Infection Control and strong clinical knowledge
- Administering Medication
- Previous venipuncture and injection experience
- Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a providers direction
- Computer proficient
