Medical Secretary/Financial Coordinator needed
Are you solution-driven, detail-oriented and a good communicator? If so, then we are looking for you! Our general dental practice is growing and seeking a new member to join our exceptional team of caring professionals. You will have the privilege of assisting our patients in choosing their best financial options and budgeting for their 5-star experience so they can receive the dental care they need and deserve. This full-time position offers the stability of a career in healthcare AND 3-day weekends!
NO Experience Needed:
Prior dental, medical, banking, or financial office experience may be beneficial, but they are certainly not required. We offer paid training for the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning!
Some of your duties will include:
- Educate patients regarding treatment plan payment options per office financial policies; make sound financial arrangements, schedule treatment from treatment plans and collect payments
- Discussing outside financing options, in-house dental benefit programs and insurance benefits to give patients more opportunities to receive the dental care they need.
. - Working with our team to ensure all care and procedures are accurately coded and invoiced, applying payments to patient accounts, assisting with all billing related questions, and coordinating next steps in care with payment schedules
- Prompt follow-up with patients, insurance companies, and finance companies to ensure all service and treatment plans are upheld as scheduled
- Consistent cross-training for optimal career growth (offered and expected)
- Verifying patient medical history, receiving payment for services, and reviewing
additional costs and fees, analyzing denials and coding errors
- Understanding and respecting patient privacy laws
- Making sure patients and their families feel welcome as soon as they walk in the door, assisting with patient check-ins, and assisting the front desk team “uphold our 3-ring rule”
- Occasionally participate in practice-sponsored events, supporting our strong and
positive reputation in the community
- Reviewing and organizing patient medical charts for accuracy and authenticity
