Responsibilities will include:
• Performs clerical duties including maintaining electronic patient files, associated logs, use of Laboratory Information System (Cerner), Microsoft office as per department protocols.
• Provides courteous, efficient telephone coverage for pathology department.
• Transcribes pathology and cytology dictation.
• Receives and processes incoming and outgoing pathology specimens, blocks, and slides.
• Demonstrates knowledge and openly reinforces established hospital and laboratory safety protocols.

Requirements:
• HS Diploma or equivalent, Certificate program, or relevant experience required.
• Experience working in a pathology office is highly preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Cerner Lab Information System preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
