- Hold a current license in good standing with the IL State Nursing/Medical Board Liscense or have a current registry and OB credential if an RDMS.

- Are physically able to stand for long periods, have good eyesight or corrected vision, have steady hands, and have a compassionate heart.
- You can satisfactorily pass training in limited OB ultrasound/sonography
IF YOU FIT THIS DESCRIPTION THEN YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Schedule Part-time, 20 hours/week
- Pay: $30.00/hour
- Reports to: Medical Director for medical services and Executive Director for all other services, who has oversight responsibility for the entire organization.
- Provide Center services in accordance with level of expertise and training.
- Thoroughly explain all medical consent forms to clients, and answer questions prior to providing any medical services.
- Provide clients with health education (pregnancy decision options, STDs/STIs, etc.), referrals for medical care/follow-up, and other pertinent community referrals.
- Perform pregnancy testing, examination, and limited OB ultrasound under the direction of the Medical Director
- Document client care in charts and properly maintain and archive client medical records.
- Review client records for completeness (all necessary forms present) and signatures.
- Conduct phone follow-up with clients, as indicated.
- Cross train as Client Advocate and serve in the role of Client Advocate as needed.
- Meet with the medical director regularly (at least monthly) for ongoing medical supervision and guidance, questions as needed.
- Participate and provide in-service training and support to the other staff and volunteers, as needed.
- Have knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in Word, basic skills in Excel, Publisher a plus
- Assure accurate implementation of medical director’s orders.
- Help Executive Director conduct annual review of Medical P&P and infection control regulations in conjunction with the medical director.
- Help orient new medical staff to Center duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure that medical equipment is properly operating and maintained.
- Conduct regular medical supply inventory and ensure that the Center is properly stocked.
- Ensure proper disinfection of medical equipment and the exam room.
- In conjunction with the Medical Director, ensure the OSHA orientation of all new personnel, provide annual refreshers, and monitor facility compliance.
- Follow guidelines for responding to emergencies and unusual ultrasound findings as specified in the P&P manual.
- In compliance with the Center’s P&P, fulfill the role as Safety Officer.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
- Maintain active nursing license or a current registry and OB credential if an RDMS.
- Comply with state and professional continuing education requirements.
- Maintain CPR certification.
- Obtain and maintain additional certifications as requested (e.g., limited obstetrical ultrasound examinations, childbirth instructor, HIV counseling, STD/STI certification).
- Helps recruit qualified medical team staff and volunteers to meet the needs of the Center.
- Helps administer medical training and orientation of the medical team, staff, and volunteers.
- Participates in establishing and conducting in-service meetings.
- Helps provide spiritual leadership to ensure the Godly mission of the organization.
- Leads staff in group prayer and devotions as opportunities arise.
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
- Represents the Center in the community as delegated.
- Attends medical conferences that offer professional training and information pertinent to the Center’s practices.
- Participate and help with fundraising events, as requested.
- Participation and help with the annual fundraising Celebration of Life Banquet is required.
- Medical Services Coordinator must be willing to perform other needed and related duties as assigned.
- The Medical Services Coordinator receives an annual evaluation by the Medical Director regarding medical matters and an evaluation by the Executive Director regarding center operational matters

We provide free pregnancy services, options counseling, education, and physical and emotional support. Our goal is to empower women and men to make confident choices for their futures. Ultimately, we want them to choose life for their baby. Our free services include lab-quality pregnancy testing and factual information regarding abortion procedures, side effects, and potential risks. In addition, we offer parenting resources and classes, adoption information, fatherhood support through a dad’s coach, and material support. As women, men, and their families become clients, we assist them with their children until the age of two. We also provide post-abortion support if a woman or man has experienced an abortion and is struggling.
