Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Provide technical and administrative support to Director of Medical Staff Services, Medical Staff members, departments and committee structure for TMCA, and Department Directors and Managers of TMCA. This includes exercising independent judgment, free from the Director’s oversight, on a regular and routine basis.

What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer certification as a Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or as a Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services.
• Associates Degree in Medical Staff Services Science, Business or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  
• Minimum of two years comprehensive experience as a medical staff services professional within a hospital setting
  
• Must have working knowledge of medical staff credentialing, basic medical staff organizational structure, and regulatory agency requirements. Other skills would include personal computer skills; typing speed of 60 wpm; excellent organization skills; ability to work independently and under pressure; excellent phone and public relations skills; ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of personnel; excellent attention to detail.
  
• This is not a remote position - required to be onsite at the hospital
