About the Job
The Medical Supply Support Coordinator is critical in synchronizing medical supply ordering and oversight of facility maintenance for our emergency micro-hospital on a 24/7 daily basis. This position supports clinical staff, daily operations, and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for their priorities of work. The coordinator ensures the facility runs efficiently by managing supplies, coordinating facility maintenance with local vendors, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Duties
Support to Clinical Staff and Operations
- Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to understand and meet the facility-related needs
- Assist in creating a comfortable and efficient environment for patient care
- Coordinate with various departments to support daily operations
Facility Coordination
- Arrange and oversee essential maintenance and repairs with external vendors
- Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and presentable
- Assist in implementing and maintaining safety and emergency procedures
Supply Management
- Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and office materials
- Place orders for supplies as needed, working within budget guidelines
- Organize storage areas and maintain an efficient inventory system
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to the hospital CNO as needed
- Help prepare basic reports on facility status and supply levels
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating staff meetings or training sessions
Vendor Relations
- Act as a point of contact for service providers and suppliers
- Help schedule maintenance visits and deliveries
- Maintain a list of approved vendors and their contact information
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Some college coursework, especially in healthcare administration or related fields
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Familiarity with healthcare facility operations
